Education

  • M.Sc., Cell Biology, Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, 2022-2025
  • B.Sa., Forestry Protection, Zhejiang A&F University, China, 2018-2022

Career

I grew up in a farming family, where I developed a strong interest in plants and gained first-hand experience of the challenges of crop growth and productivity.

During my Master’s studies (2022-2025), I focused on photosynthetic bacteria, applying structural biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology to investigate the structure and function of light-harvesting complexes, which directed my interests toward the molecular mechanisms of photosynthesis.

In August 2025, I arrived at the University of Turku to begin a new academic journey as a doctoral researcher, focusing on thylakoid ion channels in cyanobacteria to understand their roles in regulating the proton motive force and photosynthetic efficiency. In December 2025, I was awarded a UTUGS-funded doctoral researcher position, securing 14 months of funding scheduled from January 2026 to February 2027.
