Career
I grew up in a farming family, where I developed a strong interest in plants and gained first-hand experience of the challenges of crop growth and productivity.
During my Master’s studies (2022-2025), I focused on photosynthetic bacteria, applying structural biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology to investigate the structure and function of light-harvesting complexes, which directed my interests toward the molecular mechanisms of photosynthesis.
Currently, I am pursuing my doctoral degree at the University of Turku on August 2025 , studying thylakoid ion channels in cyanobacteria, with the aim of advancing our understanding of how ion channels influence the proton motive force and photosynthetic efficiency.
