I am an Associate Professor of Ethnology at the University of Turku and have the title of Docent in European Ethnology at the University of Helsinki. 



My research interests include ethnographic methods, sensory experiences, affective materiality, difficult heritage, place-based identity and cross-generational memory. I apply qualitative and ethnographic methods and am interested in methodological experiments and digital tools.
