A researcher specialising in cultural health research, ethnography, attitudes towards women's appearance and, in particular, women's baldness.

My research interests are related to cultural health research, social sustainability, attitudes towards women's appearance and, in particular, women's baldness.

In my ethnological dissertation, completed in May 2025, I investigate how women's hairlessness has been perceived in Finnish society and how women themselves have experienced baldness. I examined women's hairlessness as an everyday phenomenon, as part of people's well-being.  I examine women's hairlessness as an everyday phenomenon, as part of human well-being. My research focuses on the experiences of women without hair and the public debate on hairlessness.
