The Grammatical Means of Expressing Apudlative Motion in Finnic and Permic

I am studying for joint-supervised PhD (Cotutelle) at Universities of Turku and Tartu, where I also hold the position of junior research fellow.

I have worked as a research assistant in a dialectological corpus project Satakunta in Speech (Sapu) and in an etymological project, where I collected references of Uralic etymological research (UREVI). Currently, I am involved in the EstTyp research group, which conducts research on typological shift in Estonian and the Southern Finnic languages: https://esttyp.ut.ee/

I am currently writing a linguistic monograph on the apudlative grammatical elements in Finnish, Estonian, Komi, and Udmurt that indicate movement into proximity.

I have been working as a part-time Finnish language teacher for several years.

In spring 2021, I completed my EDUFI Finnish teaching internship at Tallinn University.

During the autumn term of 2025, I taught a beginner-level (0 > A2) Finnish language course at the University of Tartu. The course was taught in English and Estonian.
