Biography

I'm university teacher at Materials Engineering unit of at the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering. Previously, I have worked as a doctoral researcher on hydrogen evolution reaction, with the doctoral defense taking place in winter 2026. My background is originally in materials physics, with emphasis on data analysis and simulations, and later I did a Master's degree in materials engineering on electrodeposition of palladium and silver. On my free time I like to keep myself busy with theater, reading and pondering the etymologies of various words.



Research

My past research has focused on electrolytic hydrogen production by approaching the topic from different points of views, including catalyst production via electrodeposition, characterization of adsorbed hydrogen and examining material damages in hydrogen evolution reaction environments. My upcoming research areas are more related to incorporation of solar energy systems into the electrical grid and optimizing their production profiles.



Teaching

I am currently the primary responsible for the Electrical Energy Storage Systems MSc-level course and jointly responsible for the Materials Engineering 1 course for the first year students. In addition I am supervising BSc and MSc theses.
