Biography

I studied in University of Padua (Università degli Studi di Padova) during both my Bachelor´s and Master´s degrees. I graduated as BSc in Biology with a the thesis "Anaerobiosis and Toxicity of oxygen: responsibles and adaptations" studying how oxygen is responsible for anaerobiosis and how microorgsnisms adapted to it. During my MSc internship, I performed physiological analysis of Nannochloropsis oceanica strains overexpressing Rieske Fe-S subunit of cyt b6f and SBPase toward enhanced photosynthesis. The final thesis for my MSc dissertation was built on the results from this physiological analysis.

Research

My research focuses on flavodiiron (FLVs) proteins to better understand their biotechnological applications.
