I completed my Master's degree in Chemical Engineering (2022-2024) at Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology (LUT), specializing in chemical and process engineering. My coursework included subjects such as Power-to-X, Advanced Biorefineries, Process Design, Process Simulation and Monitoring Applications, and Fluid Dynamics. I also collaborated with Fortum on a project titled "High Quality Synthesis Gas Production for Further Chemicals from Waste Materials via Carbonization Pathway''. My master's thesis focused on evaluating the ''Feasibility of nano- and ultrafiltration for processing biomass streams'', where I investigated filtration possibilities using membranes with cut-off ranges between 100-1 kDa for autumn leaf extracts.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (2017-2022) from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. During my undergraduate studies, I completed a project on the production and application of radiopharmaceuticals and participated in a one-month in-plant training program at the Training Institute for Chemical Industries (TICI) in Bangladesh.
The worldwide demand for energy has been steadily increasing, necessitating efforts to secure sustainable sources of energy as well as food and other chemicals. The exploration and utilization of biobased sources have emerged as noteworthy alternatives to conventional chemicals and energy, with the potential to contribute to a greener and more sustainable future. My current focus lies on unraveling the potential of microalgae downstream process as a source of valuable biomolecules, investigating their potential industrial applications, and conducting a comprehensive techno-economic and life cycle assessments of the entire process involved.
