 Biography
 Research
I started my research journey in extreme metal subcultures with my master's thesis where I researched the Estonian pagan metal scene and its communal practices, mainly focusing on subcultural authenticity and its perception within the subculture. Now I am continuing my research with extreme metal scenes of Finland, Estonia and Ukraine and have shifted my research perspective to investigating the ways authenticity and metal-lore impact subcultural boundary-setting within and between the given scenes.
