Late 19th-century Finnish newspapers; Letters to the Editor; Cultural history of writing; History of emotions; Media history.




I studied in my dissertation, which combines the perspectives of the history of emotions and media history, the emotional and discursive culture of the Grand Duchy of Finland in the late 19th century from the perspective of anger-like emotions. My main sources are the 1890s newspapers' reader letters.



I have been the responsible teacher and given lectures in courses that dealt with digitized newspapers and periodicals in historical research. The course was executed in 2021 and 2022.
