Throughout the studies, I've developed an interest in inequalities that exist in modern societies, specifically in how the inequalities are constructed both socially and institutionally. Previously I have studied social assistance recipients and food aid receivers, and the intertwined intergenerational and cultural processes that affect in inheriting disadvantage. My more recent areas of interest are education as a key to social mobility and its effect on decreasing inequality in society. In my research, I concentrate on factors that could protect individuals from inheriting the disadvantages and thus, enable social mobility.
