I was born in Tbilisi, Georgia and grew up in Armenia. I was interested in school - sciences and languages. I chose to pursue Biology during my undergraduate studies because I thought life was very fascinating phenomenon. However, later, I understood that my calling is in astronomy and decided to change direction to pursue Astronomy. I also aimed to learn French as a foreign language in order to understand better the world I live in. Currently, I am a doctoral student in the University of Turku, Finland, working on observational studies of neigborhoods of active galactic nuclei. I have a small family and hope to find good balance in work-life, explore the world, and make a good contribution in my career to the sciences.
My research aims to understand the galaxy formation and evolution, through studies of active galactic nuclei (AGN).
I enjoy teaching at all levels. Currently I have no teaching duties, but I hope that during my doctoral studies I will have a chance to get teaching experience.
