Isabel Galvis Cardenas is a Doctoral Candidate in International Business. She obtained her Master's Degree from the Global Innovation Management Program at Turku School of Economics in 2014. In 2017 she joined the Marketing and International Business Department as a doctoral candidate.

My doctoral research focuses on management of social and business objectives in hybrid organizations. I look at how social enterprises, as one type of hybrid, navigate the inherent tensions of pursuing dual objectives. The findings of this study may apply to other hybrid arrangements (e.g. state owned companies) or businesses trying to balance purely commercial and non-commercial interests (e.g. family businesses).

I have participated in the teaching team of the Research Methods in International Innovation Management and International Business Strategy courses for Master’s students. I have completed the modules of the University Pedagogical studies for UNIPS.
