Master of Arts in Musicology, my master's thesis titled "The Female Subject in Finnish Folk Music – Interpretations of Three Musical Life Stories" (1997). For my final project in Cultural Producer's studies, I examined the employment of musicians with foreign backgrounds in "The Challenges of a World Musician in Finland" (2010). I have worked in various cultural projects as an agent, manager, producer, and publicist.

In my doctoral thesis, I am researching the experiences of women and non-binary musicians in the music industry. Through analysing the subjects' own experiences, I aim to understand how societal and structural factors within the music industry impact their careers and uncover how they have managed to pursue their profession as musicians. The concrete aim of the research is to generate insights for industry improvement and to enhance job opportunities for women and non-binary musicians in the music field. The research material includes, among other things, interviews with musicians.
