I started my studies in University of Turku in 2009. My major subject was cultural history. History of Finland, sociology and political science were my minor subjects. I graduated in 2016. My doctoral studies started in December 2016. 

My PhD research is about the celebrity of Cynthia Lennon. Her celebrity is part of the “WAG-phenomenon”. The acronym WAG was first used by the British tabloid press when they wrote about the wives and girlfriends of famous footballers. Cynthia Lennon became famous because her first husband was musician John Lennon. My Master’s thesis was about the stardom of musician Karen Carpenter. Overall, I am interested in celebrity culture and star studies.
