MA and M.Sc. (Economics and Business Administration) Elisa Aro works as Grant Researcher in a project called MUUTOS (in Finnish: "Megatrendit uudistamassa meriteollisuutta Suomessa"). The project is financed by the Foundation for Economic Education. Before starting this project, she worked in international projects that aimed at making global maritime processes more sustainable by digitalising them and using resources eco-efficiently. The latest project, co-financed by the Interreg Batic Sea Region Programme, was called EXOPRODIGI (Expanding efforts to bring eco-efficiency to maritime industry processes in Baltic Sea Region via digital tools). For more information, please visit the project website: https://ecoprodigi.eu/exoprodigi

Prior to Pan-European Institute, she worked within international business and marketing in several organisations in Finland and Spain.

Elisa's main research interests focus on the internationalisation of enterprises, international entrepreneurship and R&D management of enterprises with a special emphasis on sustainability and digital transformation. She has worked in several research projects that deal with these topics.
