Johanna Friman received her LL.D from the University of Turku in 2015 and works as University Teacher in the Faculty of Law.


Johanna Friman’s primary field of research
is international law, with a
central research focus on the international law on the use of force,
international humanitarian law and international criminal law. Current research interests also include implications of emerging technologies and artificial intelligence on legal regulatory structures, particularly as related to the use of force and autonomous weapons.


Johanna Friman's teaching responsibilities include:
