After my Bachelor's degree from the Corporate State University Baden-Wuerttemberg in Business Information Systems, I continued with my Master's in Business Information Systems at the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe (GER). During my Bachelor's and Master's degree, I worked and gained practical experience at Daimler AG and SAP SE in Germany. As part of my positions at these two companies, I have conducted research for my Bachelor's and Master's thesis in the IT department and a research centre for new software products. Following my Master's degree, I started as a research assistant at Turku School of Economics doing research on IT management, Business Continuity Management and Internet of Things. Since July 2017, I am working on a research position at Daimler AG as an organisational consultant while at the same time pursuing a doctoral degree at Turku School of Economics.

In my research as a doctoral student, I conduct participant observations at a large German car manufacturer undergoing digital transformation. By this, I seek to unpack how digital transformation emerges from the car manufacturer's various activities targeted at its digital transformation. A focal point of my research is on new forms of work, organising and the role of digital technologies. I draw on different theories and streams of research such as IT infrastructure, affordance theory and paradox theory. With my primary method for data collection being participant observations, I employ ethnography as a research method but also a genre for writing.
