A new genus (Ecurobius gen. n.) and six new species of spiders are described from Iran: Aituaria iranica sp. n. (male, Nesticidae; Mazandaran Province), Deltshevia taftanensis sp. n. (female, Hersiliidae; Sistan & Baluchistan Province), Ecurobius parthicus sp. n. (female, Amaurobiidae; Semnan Province), Euryopis schwendingeri sp. n. (female, Theridiidae; Ilam Province), Hahnia deiocesi sp. n. (female, Hahniidae; Kohgiluyeh & Boyer-Ahmad Province) and Stemonyphantes verkana sp. n. (male, Linyphiidae; Golestan Province). These are the first records of the families Amaurobiidae and Nesticidae and the genus Deltshevia Marusik & Fet, 2009 in Iran.
