Severe TBI is a complex medical condition whose outcome is influenced by several variables, such as the injury severity, demographics, comorbidities, and pathology, as well as the quality and quantity of rehabilitation services. These services can be delivered in several ways and within variable time frames. This chapter covers main principles of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, as well as various aspects of cognitive rehabilitation. We will also cover new methodologies and discuss future views in this field.
