The study compared the learning outcomes between two groups that had participated in different teaching forms. One of the groups had listened to a lecture series and the other one participated a problem based learning course. Their examination results in the mandatory course in procedural law. The amount of participation in teaching correlated positively to their success in examination. The problem based learning approach promoted success more than lectures, but most successful students had participated in both groups.
