The urgency of the current ecological
crisis has found its creative resonance in artistic practices coming from Latin America in the
new century, through works carried out by artists born between the 1970s and the 1980s. In
this article, I briefly discuss the most significant
works by some of these artists: Rafael Villares
(Havana, 1989), Alexandra Kehayoglou (Buenos
Aires, 1981), Ana Teresa Barboza (Lima, 1981)
and Alejandro Durán (Mexico City, 1974).
