Abstract
A target prepared from YBa2Cu3O7-delta nanopowder is used for pulsed laser deposition of thin films on SrTiO3 substrates. Investigations by atomic force microscopy show that in this way it is possible to prepare smooth films which are free from droplets. In optimized growth conditions the critical current density J(c) approximate to 8 x 10(6) A cm(2) in zero held at 77 K, superconducting transition temperature T-c approximate to 90 K and transition width of Delta T-c = 2 K are obtained.
