'Aivokuvia' (Brainimages) discusses film from the viewpoint of the audio-visual machine making the world experienced and expressed in new ways. The idea is developed along three conceptual lines (mirror, fold, desire), each concentrating on a particular film or director such as Andrey Tarkovsky, Kathry Bigelow and David Cronenberg. The overall aim is to work with and even to recreate the set of aestehtic and philosophical concepts familiar from the French philosophers, Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari.
