There are numerous key challenges to construct successful knowledge
precincts, which make knowledge precinct development a risky business.
At the same time, in a highly globalised and competitive world it is
critical to invest on knowledge and innovation activities that are
mainly housed by knowledge precincts. The chapter proposes invaluable
recommendations and strategic directions in the areas of context, space
and place, companies, and users particularly for a specific knowledge
precinct of Brisbane city from Australia—i.e., Dutton Park Knowledge
Precinct. However, the mentioned directions and recommendations are also
useful for other city knowledge precincts that are aiming to establish
prosperous and sustainable knowledge and innovation spaces.
