Abstract

Atherosclerosis is an inflammatory process. Although purinergic signaling plays an important role in inflammation and vascular integrity, little is known about purinergic mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis in humans. Our aim was to study markers of purinergic signaling in a cohort of patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD).
