English abstract

This is the 7th annual IT barometer report, its publicly available report. IT barometer includes three calculated indexes: IT index, IT deployment index and IT management index. Cumulatively these three indexes include over 30 indicators about the business significance, deployment and management of IT within Finnish organizations. Until 2012 FIPA translated IT barometer report but after that reports have been available only in Finnish with the exception of presentation slides. Data for the report is collected with a survey sent to business and IT executives. The survey has over 200 questions.



Part 2 addresses the impact of economic situation of Finland on IT investments, It expenditures and IT development. Part 2 focuses also on the management and deployment of new and/or emerging technologies. Technologies included are E-Commerce, social media, cloud services, BYOD, Cyber security and It risk management, BYOD, big data as well as digital data management.
