Abstract
All of the reviewed studies were case studies. The studies reviewed showed many benefits of HIS and ERP to healthcare operations and processes. Eight major classes of benefits were identified. These were "Better data", "Higher quality of information", "Improved communication", "More controllable resource allocation", "Process improvements", "Financial benefits", "Better decision making" and "Better patient care". A detailed analysis of each class is presented.
