One new genus, Callipelis gen. n., and six new species belonging to five families are described as new to science: Paracedicus kasatkini sp. n. (female, Desidae), Ajmonia rajaeii sp. n. (male female, Dictynidae), Devade naderii sp. n. (male, Dictynidae), Callipelis deserticola sp. n. (male, Gnaphosidae), Zora huseynovi sp. n. (male, Miturgidae) and Diaea osmanii sp. n. (male female, Thomisidae). All new species are known exclusively from Iran. Three related genera, Cedicus Simon, 1875, Cedicoides Charitonov, 1946 and Paracedicus Fet, 1993 are removed from Cybaeidae and placed in Desidae. One family (Desidae) and three genera (Ajmonia Caporiacco, 1934, Devade Simon, 1884 and Zora C.L. Koch, 1847) are reported from Iran for the first time.
