Abstract
In the recent years, IT/IS outsourcing is attracting increasing research attention in theinternational academia. Along with China’s rising position as a destination country of IT/IS outsourcing, the related research interest is also growing in the Chinese academia. To obtain an overview on the progress of relevant research in both international and Chinese research communities, we performed a literature review on 144 papers selected from EBSCO, AIS, and CSSCI. The bibliometric method is applied for a comparative analysis between English and Chinese papers on different aspects. For both international and Chinese IT/IS outsourcing researchers, the results would provide a summary of prior research, as well as implications forthe future.
