Tiivistelmä
Protonation constants of the N1 atom of the guanine base and of the phosphate group were determined. Increase and corresponding decrease in the basicity of the N1 and phosphate group reflected intermolecular electrostatic interaction for the 5' isomers of the m7-guanosin nucleotides. A correlation has been found between the acid-base properties, conformation and the inhibition properties of these compounds in some kind of protein synthesis.
