Abstract
One hundred and twenty Danio rerio and Campostoma anomalum microsatellite loci were tested for amplification in the cyprinids Phoxinus phoxinus, Scardinius erPhrophthalmus, Rutilus rutilus, Abramis brama, Carassius carassius and Gobio gobio. The PCR amplification products were recorded in 35 to 50 loci, depending on focal species. Eight to 28 of the amplifying loci were also polymorphic, establishing potential sets of genetic markers for population genetics studies. (c) 2005 The Fisheries Society of the British Isles.
