In this article we focus on historical development of arts education in light of philosophical reflections, historical development of society and in light of development and public debate about arts education today. We single out seven important points of view about arts education which must be noticed when discussing about the task. Our aim is to point out the essential

questions of arts education to provide open discussion and to develop theoretical and

conceptual approach to arts education. The seven viewpoints we open in this article are: 1) Art

promotes adaptability, 2) Creativity and imagination are developed through arts education,

3) Aesthetic character brings beauty to life, 4) Arts education improves emotional life, 5) Arts

education leads to cultural achievements, 6) Art builds relationship with reality, 7) Arts education

recognises colour.
