What's new? Long-term survivors of childhood cancer may suffer from the later development of health conditions related to their disease or to the treatment they received, and much effort has been made to better monitor and treat these conditions. Unfortunately, the same advances have not occurred for young adult (YA) cancer survivors, who similar to their younger counterparts are at increased risk of life-threatening vascular complications but lack specific guidelines for long-term follow-up, according to this study. The report suggests that YA cancer survivors could benefit greatly from individualized, follow-up care.
