Cratoneurion-springs in Southern Finland were explored to assess their conservation status according to Article 17 of the Habitats Directive. We visited ten localities for which old information on presence of Palustriella commutata, P. decipiens, P. falcata, or Cratoneuron filicinum existed. In eight of them we found either P. decipiens, P. falcata, or Cratoneuron filicinum. In addition, we found several populations of rare and endangered bryophyte species, such as Philonotis calcarea, Hamatocaulis vernicosus, and Moercia hibernica. Descriptions are provided for all visited localities and their bryophyte flora are given.
