Cross-cultural management literature has been criticised for ignoring intra-national diversity

and lacking of investigation into dynamic interactions between different levels of culture.

Drawing upon acculturation theory, this paper presents theoretical framework to analyse how

the framework, we discuss Japanese MNEs’ acculturation strategies. The analysis shows

influence of vertical keiretsu business groups to acculturation strategy of Japanese subsidiaries.
