European seaports are struggling with the tightening noise regulations. At the same time interest in building waterfronts is increasing and new tenants are settling around ports' vicinities. Tackling noise questions poses a challenge not just for ports  but also for their customers, authorities, planners, and city inhabitants alike. Finding solutions can also be a chance for the maritime industry to become greener.
