This article analysis the evolution of the Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership (ASEP), which is a biennial meeting of Asian and European parliaments organised in the sidelines of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) process. The article provides the first outlook on what is ASEP, how the dialog has evolved during the first 20 years and discusses the main challenges behind the reason that despite active dialog has not been able to create real momentum.
