Summary: We are investigating the effect of proficiency level on the fluency and complexity of dialogic speech in Swedish. We focus in particular on the fluency and complexity of Swedish as a first language among Swedish-speaking university students and of Swedish as a second language among Finnish-speaking university students, as well as the relationship between fluency and complexity. We collect dialogue samples in Swedish, which are analyzed based on speech characteristics.
