Since 2003, I have mainly worked at the University of Turku in various administrative, research, and development positions. I am currently working at the School of Economics Pori Unit, as project manager for SATUMAA - Satakunta peatlands: from peat production to new livelihoods and meanings.
My doctoral thesis is the first dissertation on sensitivity published in Finland. In my ethnographic research, I studied high sensitivity as a socially constructed phenomenon: lived experiences and the collective construction of meaning, as well as the social issues raised by the phenomenon of sensitivity. In addition, I discuss association activities in the context of therapeutic culture.
In my research, I am particularly interested in lived experiences, the practices of organizations and institutions in different contexts, and their significance in promoting human well-being and building a sustainable future. One of my research topics relates to just transition and sustainable land use.
