Hanna Heino is a university teachcer in Finland Futures Research Centre. Her research interest focuses on futures research, knowledge creation, sustainable development and urban geography. Earlier she has been a post doctoral researcher at University of Vaasa at the regional science, and a post doctoral researcher and project researcher at the Department of Geography and Geology (UTU). She has been working in several research projects like LUMODI (The relationship between nature and well-being of immigrants in physical and digital environments) funded by Turku urban research programme, and project URMI (Urbanization, Mobilities and Immigration) funded by Academy of Finland, Strategic Research Council. In 2011 - 2016 she has been working in Finland Futures Research Centre as project coordinator and project researcher in many multidisciplinary and international projects. E.g. project WESA experimenting sustainable solutions to wave energy in the Baltic Sea (funded by Central Baltic Interreg Program), China-EU project focusing on climate change (Academy of Finland) and project EUFORIE, European Futures of Energy Efficiency (EU Horizon2020 program).
