Biography

I currently work as an Information Specialist at the University of Lapland. In 2022–2025 I am a member in the research project Förfalskarna – Allmogens litterarisering och kunskap om det svenska språket i brottslig kontext i Finland under 1800-talets första hälft where my study concerns forgeries as material culture.

In recent years I have worked as a Postgraduate Researcher in the department of Finnish History, as a Curator in the Museum Centre of Turku and as a University Teacher in the Master's Degree Pathway in Records and Archives Management in the University of Turku.

I defended my dissertation The Black Book of Abo Cathedral and the Continuum of Source Publications in Finland from the Early Modern to the Digital Era in the department of Finnish history in 2019. The study was a part of the research project Making and Interpreting Finnish National Pasts Role of Archives in Changing Cultural Processes (UTU) and the Memornet doctoral program (TAU). My dissertation was also funded by the Turku University Foundation.

Research

My research interests include relationships between archives, museums, and historical research, archival science, and the continuum of research data. Archival science has a significant role also in my research concerning the history of everyday life, gender history, and family history.

My doctoral dissertation combined history and archival science. The focus was on the publication of medieval sources and especially in the publication of the Black Book of Abo Cathedral.

Teaching

My teaching in the University of Lapland has to do with research data management and scientific publishing. I also teach the use of archival sources in Cultural History studies.

I worked as a university teacher in the Master's Degree Pathway in Records and Archives Management in 20142018. In addition, I have taught medieval history and archival science.
