MSc in 1990 and PhD in 2001 in Animal Biotechnology at University of Kuopio. University Research Fellow studying molecular biology and mechanisms in fish. Lecturing molecular biology and teaching hands-on laboratory techniques. Post-doctoral training in prostate cancer research at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, USA in 2001-2003 (Prof. Susan Kasper´s group) and at University of Eastern Finland in 2004-2007 (Prof. Jorma Palvimo´s group). Scientific Coordinator in 2012-2013, and Laboratory Manager since 2014 at Turku Bioscience Centre (Prof. Jukka Westermarck´s group).
Certificated degree in teaching focused in Pedagogy in 2010 at Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences, Teacher Education College.
