I am a university lecturer at the School of Languages and Translation Studies, University of Turku, Finland, and specialise in English language and linguistics. I earned my PhD at Turku, and I also hold the title of Docent in English Language, granted by Åbo Akademi University. In addition to teaching and research, my activities include work in various committees and research teams. I have previously worked as a lecturer, postdoctoral research fellow, project researcher and assistant at Turku, as a senior researcher at the University of Tampere, and as a part-time instructor at Åbo Akademi University. In addition to English (language, linguistics and literature) I have studied Scandinavian languages, general linguistics and university pedagogy.
