I completed my MA in 2012 at the University of Turku (Department of Social Research). I am currently working on my doctoral dissertation. The dissertation focuses on minimum necessary consumption and poverty. I have worked as a researcher in two projects funded by the European Commission: Improve (2012-2016) and a pilot project for developing a common methodology for reference budgets (2014-2015). Both projects focused on constructing cross-nationally comparable reference budgets for Europe.

My research focuses on minimum necessary consumption and poverty. The doctoral dissertation concentrates on minimum living standard in Finland. This in analysed from different perspectives and different datasets. The research aims to paint a clear picture on what is the minimum necessary consumption in Finland.
