PI, Research project MultiMed
I am a Docent in pharmaceutical policy (academic title awarded in recognition of scientific and teaching merits) and PhD in Social Pharmacy. I work as an Academy Research Fellow in the INVEST Research Flagship Centre. I am principal investigator in the Research Council of Finland -funded project Multilevel governance and decentralization of medicine budgets - Striving for quality and sustainability (MultiMed).
I completed my PhD in Social Pharmacy at the University of Eastern Finland in 2017. I have worked as Researcher and Senior Researcher at the Social Insurance Institution of Finland since 2010 (currently on leave). At the University of Turku, I previously worked as Research Council of Finland Postdoctoral Researcher, in project Economic burden of medicines on households: De-commodification and re-commodification (DE-RE).
My research interests include equity considerations and access to medications and healthcare, quality use of medications, citizens' opinions and experiences, evaluating the effects of reforms, and comparative pharmaceutical policy.
