I received my Ph.D. in International Studies from Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, the University of Tokyo, in 2016. I previously worked with Unilever, McKinsey & Co, Millward Brown, and the National University of Singapore in Singapore; as well as with the World Bank in Indonesia. Prior to working with Turku School of Economics, I was a project researcher with Turku University of Applied Sciences.

My research interest lies at the intersection of microeconomics and sustainable development to achieve the sustainable development goals. In my dissertation, I unite these strands of approaches to explore the role of social networks upon sustainable technology diffusion and adoption in Indonesia and Ethiopia through a randomized-controlled trial.

Presently, I am exploring two themes in my research works. First, I am looking at the effects of migration and gender on sustainable agricultural production and ethical consumption in the global north and south simultaneously; and second, I am investigating the effects of immigration and emigration upon entrepreneurial discovery processes, sustainable regional development, and economic- and social- well-being of the host country, taking a case of Finland.

Courses I am presently teaching:

TME2 Globalisation and Corporate Responsibility (Spring semester)

TMSe2 Climate Change and Trade in the Global South (Fall semester)
