Biography
Research
In my PhD project, I'm studying the atomic-level interactions upon adsorption of the sex hormone estradiol and neurotransmitter dopamine on carbon-based nanostructures. The primary method is Bayesian optimization accelerated density-functional theory (DFT). Comprehensive understanding on the adsorption process aids in the development of better electrode materials for electrochemical sensors. The long-term goal is to develop outstanding electrochemical sensors for medical use and the removal of endocrine-disrupting chemicals from water.
Teaching
In addition of my research, I supervise theses.
