Biography

I currently work as a university teacher in Art history. I began my postdoctoral research in 2020 in the art & science project “A Sacred Place? Discourses and Place Embeddedness of Finnish human-nature relationship" at the Department of Bio- and Environmental Sciences at University of Jyväskylä. I have worked at the University of Turku in Art history previously from 2008 to 2009.

I graduated with a Ph.D. degree in June 2019 with a research on the history of performance and media arts in Finland. Since the 2009, I have held various classes at the Open University of Turku, the Academy of Fine Arts and the School of Fine Arts at the Turku Academy of Arts.

Editor in chief in Tahiti journal for Art History 2021-, board member of The Society for Art History in Finland 2021-, editorial board member of Taidehistoriallisia tutkimuksia (Jufo 2) 2021-, editorial board member of Tahiti journal for Art History (Jufo 1) 2019-, editorial board member of Utukirjat Publishing 2010-2014.



Teaching

Intermediate level courses in Art History (World Art, Critical History of a Museum as an Institution, Visuality, Spatiality, Materiality: Interpretaion, Perspectives on Modern and Contemporary Art in Finland) and BA Seminar in Art History.
