developmental psychiatry; epidemiology; register-based research
I received my MD and PhD degrees from the University of Helsinki in 2009 and 2012, respectively. Between 2013 and 2015, I did a two-year postdoctoral research fellowship at Columbia University in New York. In 2017 I received the title of docent in developmental psychiatry at the University of Turku.
My main research interests include studying the service use and early risk factors of psychiatric and neurodevelopmental problems among young people. In a current project we are applying data-driven analytic methods to population-based cohorts.
At the Research Centre for Child Psychiatry, I hold journal club sessions for residents in child psychiatry and various workshops related to research in developmental psychiatry.
